Franchise Training Program
When a franchisee purchases a location with The Pancakery, the journey begins with careful site selection and pre-marketing efforts to lay the foundation for success. Following site selection, franchisees embark on the renovation or build-out of the restaurant space, aligned with The Pancakery's brand and ambiance.
Prior to the Grand Opening, franchisees participate in a comprehensive three-week pre-opening training program, immersing themselves in The Pancakery way of daily operations, utilizing the P.O.S., effective management tools, and local advertising and marketing strategies.
As the excitement builds, franchisees launch their Grand Opening, supported by The Pancakery's dedicated team, who provide guidance and assistance every step of the way. Throughout the journey and beyond, franchisees can rely on ongoing support from The Pancakery team as they grow within their community, supporting long-term success and connection with their patrons.
Site Selection
We assist in selecting prime locations with high visibility, leveraging market research and analysis for optimal business potential.
Renovation/Build
Our franchise support team guides you through the renovation process, creating an inviting, space that creates a welcoming dining experience.
Pre-Opening Training
We provide 3 weeks of extensive pre-opening training covering daily operations, management tools, and local marketing tactics.
Grand Opening
The Pancakery assists with strategic guidance to attract customers, and establish a strong presence in the local community, preparing for your soft and Grand Opening!

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
What are the operating hours - can we stay open for dinner?
We are open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and cocktails from 8AM to 1PM in the Fall, Winter and Spring with expanded Summer hours from 7AM to 2PM. After that, go and enjoy the rest of your day. (We do not serve dinner.) Get Started.
Are you seeking owner operators or executive owners?
We want our owners to be involved in the business, but not working “in” the business. Most of our franchise owners will focus on community engagement and marketing, while managing their GM. Get Started.
Do I have to have restaurant experience?
Probably a good idea. Even though we are open for limited hours, we would like you to have prior experience managing or owning a restaurant to have your best chance of success. Get Started.
Can I own more than one Pancakery restaurant?
Yes. We believe some owners will operate multiple units under an Area Development agreement and each additional restaurant is half the initial franchise fee. Get Started.
How much space do I need for The Pancakery I will own?
Between 2,500 and 3,200 square feet with outdoor seating. Our site criteria guidelines will help you evaluate real estate options for your location. Get Started.
How long does it take to open?
You should be able to open in 7 to 12 months, depending on how quickly you complete our pre-opening process and attend training. Get Started.
How many employees are needed to operate the restaurant?
A. With both part and full time employees you may have between 15 and 20 employees during Fall, Winter and Spring, expanding to about 30 team members in the Summer. Get Started.
What are the startup costs and what do they include?
Startup funding includes the initial franchise fee and other estimated costs such as 3rd party professional fees, insurance, equipment, furniture, initial marketing and 3-months of working capital. Table shown above. Get Started.
